Hymen reconstruction is an outpatient procedure typically performed under local anesthesia, though twilight anesthesia is available for anxious patients. The surgery takes about 60 minutes, after which you can leave the clinic and resume your daily activities.
The stitches used are self-dissolving, so a second appointment is not necessary. However, a follow-up visit is recommended to ensure proper healing.
