Also, refrain from sauna visits during this time. Ensure your skin is free of infections and discontinue any blood-thinning medications at least 24 hours before the laser treatment.

The Laser Treatment

On the day of treatment, the targeted skin area will be thoroughly cleaned. The laser is then directed at the permanent makeup on the eyebrows, with the light calibrated to a specific wavelength matching the pigments used. The laser breaks down the pigments, which are then gradually eliminated by the body through the lymphatic system.

Post-Treatment Care

After the treatment, it’s essential to care for the treated area with Bepanthen or a similar wound healing ointment. For the next four to eight weeks, the lasered skin should be exposed to as little sunlight as possible, and visits to tanning beds and saunas should be avoided. It’s advisable to start the removal process in the fall so that it is completed by the following summer.
